Born and raised on a family farm in Orange, Central NSW, Una was home-schooled along with her three sisters.
As a young adult, Una served in the Land Army during World War II. Una met John Lambert and they married in 1946. Una and John had one son, Geoffrey. They were married for 40 years when John passed away in 1986. Una was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and now great-grandmother.
Una was never one to rest idle from helping on the family farm, Una always liked to be on the go and enjoyed competing in Golf well into her 90’s. Golf is in the Lambert family, which Una loved playing until she was 90, with Una following her grandson Tristan’s golf career. Una is always so happy to have visits from family and friends, and she continues to enjoy being active regularly going for walks outside the Banksia courtyard. Her favorate outing is visiting home with her son Geoffrey a couple of times a week.
Una celebrated her 105th birthday on the day of her birthday the 15th of October at her son Geoffrey’s home with her family. Guildford Aged Care celebrated with her son Geoffrey a special lunch in Banksia and delicious birthday cake. Una loved the flowers and chocolates from Hardi Management.
