Our Homes
For over 40 years the Hardi name has been synonymous with providing quality Residential Aged Care. We have a clear focus on ensuring that ‘Enjoying Life Matters’ regardless of age and provide a community atmosphere whilst respecting the dignity and needs of each individual. We achieve this by offering quality care through a dedicated team of loyal staff and by forming true partnerships with our residents and their representatives. We aim to be flexible and responsive to changing needs and go out of our way to be as helpful as possible to ensure optimum quality of life. All of our Aged Care Homes have attained full 3-year Accreditation.
Hardi is a family-owned business that prides itself on its rich family history spanning nearly half a century. Its founder, George Hardi immigrated with his Hungarian parents to Australia in 1952. They arrived with nothing except a belief that Australia offered opportunities for people who worked hard, and gave back to the Country that had warmly welcomed them. He was taught to look after the elderly from a very young age and while he is sadly no longer with us, his son Peter is active in the business and remains focused on continuing his parents’ legacy of providing quality of life for elderly Australians.
Hardi Aged Care accepts any individual, no matter their financial means. We have homes located across Sydney in Blacktown, Guildford, Manly Vale, Penrith, Seven Hills and Summer Hill, all of which are filled with multilingual staff to help make every resident feel at home and comfortable while maintaining their cultural identity. Residents enjoy daily fresh cooked meals prepared by the Hardi chef and enjoy regular BBQs in the outdoor areas.
We acknowledge that our homes may not be as new as some of the other aged care homes around Sydney, however, our focus is on our residents, providing activities for health and wellbeing and ensuring that they enjoy access to their own dedicated bus for fun outings, with no extra charge for bus travel. The Hardi bus offers short local morning/afternoon tea trips, as well as long trips for lunch and days out. The Hardi bus has a capacity for 21 residents including room for wheelchairs and has features to aid mobility, including a wheelchair hoist and retractable step.
