Like most of Australia and the world residents at Hardi Aged Care Penrith were sadden by the devastating bushfires that have been burning across Australia. Residents from Hardi Aged Care Penrith wanted to try find a way that they could help those who have been affected by the fires including the amazing firefighters that have given up Christmas with their families to help fight these devastating bushfires. Residents got to making up hampers full of goodies that would help keep the firefighters fuelled while in the firegrounds and dropped them off to the Amazing volunteers at “Sydney Fire Support Team”. The resident sewing group has been making mittens for the Koalas, Kangaroos and many other animals that have been injured trying to escape the fires.
To top of the amazing efforts of residents, they decided to donate all the money they made from their Market Day and Christmas raffles to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal to try help families that have lost everything in these bushfires.
