Where Enjoying Life Matters

Hardi Summer Hill (also known as Wyoming) recently underwent refurbishment to maintain its heritage sandstone and wrought iron facade.  It now looks at home in the midst of the village atmosphere of Sydney’s inner west, among terrace houses and heritage buildings.

Only a short walk from the local stores in Summer Hill village and opposite the local train station, Hardi Summer Hill is easily accessible by public transport.  A few minutes from Parramatta Road, it is also an easy drive from Sydney’s different locales.

Set over three levels, Hardi Summer Hill is lift accessible and caters for residents with all levels of physical and cognitive health.

Residents can make the most of the large outdoor area at the facility, with outdoor meals in the warmer weather and room to play games, such as putt putt golf and bowling.  Hardi Summer Hill also has spacious indoor areas, where residents can take part in activities, be entertained by visiting musicians, or simply sit and relax.

Celebrating Bastille Day

Here at Hardi Aged Care, we love celebrating all multicultural days and learning new and fascinating facts about all cultures. On 19th July residents from Hardi Summer Hill celebrated and recognised Bastille Day with all things French. Staff were dressed in their finest French gear and residents donned Eiffel tower headbands, they all took part in French quizzes and trivia while also learning to speak a little French. They enjoyed a delicious high tea with some mouth-watering French foods like Danishes, French onion soup, profiteroles and croissants and they washed this down with some French Champagne. To make the day even better residents were treated to French entertainer ‘Annette’. Overall the residents had the best time and can’t wait for the next multicultural day to learn and experience other cultures.

  • “I moved my parents from another facility to Hardi Aged Care at Seven Hills one year ago. It is the best thing that I have done for my parents. In my opinion I say that they moved from a backyard soccer coach to the institute of sport! They want for nothing. They are both in the extra services unit. They each have their own spacious rooms with bathrooms attached. There is a lovely dining hall on the same level, below is another dining hall/lounge room and outside is a lovely garden. Mum and Dad want for nothing. The staff at Hardis are all nice and treat my parents with the respect and love they deserve. All the staff from cleaning, kitchen, maintenance, reception, nursing, laundry, lifestyle staff and management all treat each resident with the same level of love and respect and I believe this is what sets this nursing home apart from all the rest. I am really thankful that Hardis was recommended to me as I do believe that if I had not moved both my parents they would not be here today.”

  • “My dear friends, what can I say but thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Everybody at your lovely aged care home has been playing well above their weight when it comes to the care that Peter was provided with, I can name a few individuals such as John, Amy, and Greer but everybody knows the list is much larger than that, especially me! Not much else to say except for a very very big heartfelt thankyou to all your staff at Mountainview. The best aged care facility in the world.”
